Honda Launches (Supposedly) Sporty-Looking Jazz Si Grade





A new set of shiny 16-inch alloy wheels along with a chrome sports front grille and rear spoiler, embroidered carpet mats and Si branding on the boot lid and glove box is what makes the new "Si" grade sporty and "appealing to young drivers who want their car to stand out from the crowd" in Honda UK's eyes.

We beg to differ but if the Jazz Si makes you heart swing, the new trim level is priced at an additional £870 over the 1.2 SE and 1.4 ES models offering (always according to Honda) nearly £2,000 worth of extra equipment.

On-the-road prices in the United Kingdom are set at £12,835 and £13,510 for the 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter Jazz respectively with sales starting from April 1 - no joke.

The new hybrid is expected to be available in october 2010 in Japan and export to international market . It would become Honda’s cheapest hybrid, with an estimated price tag of 1.5 million yen.the car will carry the same body shell as current nornal Jazz / Fit the dimention will be 3900×1695x1525 MM consumption around 27 to 30 km/lite rumore from Mag-x that the car will use 1.3 liter ICE(internal combussion engine) intergrate with motor asist hybrid system

The Jazz / Fit Hybrid will join other Honda hybrids such as the Insight, Civic and the Accord-based hybrid (previous generation) which was sold in the US.

The Honda Fit compact car — called the Jazz in Europe — has long seemed to be an obvious choice for hybrid power. Now Honda’s agreed: the Jazz will get a hybrid engine in 2011, but it won’t be for sale in the United States.
The Jazz Hybrid, announced this week and to be on display next month at the Paris motor show, will borrow the same Integrated Motor Assist system and CVT gearbox that are in the Insight and Civic Hybrid. Fuel economy and emissions data, also to be announced in Paris, were expected to be very close to those models.
The 2011 Jazz for the European and Japanese markets receives some cosmetic tweaks as well — revised headlamps, new front grille, a leather seating option — and a new Lime Green exterior color choice.
The powertrain in Honda’s new two-seat hybrid CR-Z — which went on sale on Tuesday in the United States — is slightly different from the Insight/Jazz motor, in that it makes more horsepower from a 1.5-liter engine that uses 16 valves instead of the Insight’s eight.
Chris Naughton, a Honda spokesman, said on Wednesday that there were no immediate plans to import the hybrid Jazz/Fit to the United States.
Mr. Naughton also said that Honda had no plans to stop offering the hybrid Civic and Insight for sale in Canada. There had been some news media speculation in Quebec that those vehicles might be pulled because of disappointing sales. “Inventory may be running low in Canada, but we will be shipping cars to any dealers that request them,” he said.

Apropo, exista si accesorii exterioare care se pot pune pe Jazz, iar mie, personal, designul Jazz imi place foarte mult. Recunosti masina in trafic de la o posta!
